2nd Transnational Meeting
The ZP4ALL (Zero Plastic for All) initiative is a European project under Erasmus+ aimed at combating plastic pollution through education and innovation. It seeks to enhance environmental literacy and green skills within Vocational Education and Training (VET), empowering future professionals to support the EU’s climate neutrality goal for 2050 through a circular economy approach.
A key milestone was the 2nd Transnational Project Meeting held in Bari, Italy, from 9-12 March 2025, and its subsequent international meeting on 26 March 2025. Hosted by Formedil Bari, the meetings brought together educators and industry professionals to strengthen collaboration and strategic planning. Notably, the Bari meeting marked a significant step following the departure of the Portuguese partner, with Greece’s RTIS Network assuming expanded leadership, ensuring project continuity.
During these gatherings, the consortium made substantial progress, including the presentation of the first pilot of the ZP4ALL Digital Platform—a tool developed by RTIS Network to provide VET students and educators with resources on sustainable plastic management and the circular economy. The platform was demonstrated to high school classes at PES Bari, offering students an interactive experience that fostered environmental awareness and digital engagement.
Additionally, the project advanced the development of a Vocational Training Curriculum aligned with EU standards, and finalized strategic plans for outreach, impact maximization, and digital tool development. The meetings underscored the importance of practical training and stakeholder engagement, with high-level leadership from Formedil Bari emphasizing the project’s institutional commitment to sustainability.
Overall, these meetings have strengthened the partnership, set clear milestones for pilot testing and curriculum finalization, and laid the foundation for broad dissemination. By leveraging digital innovation and collaborative efforts, ZP4ALL aims to cultivate a new generation of environmentally conscious professionals, contributing significantly to sustainability education across Europe and supporting the broader EU policies on climate action and resource management.
